End of Year Sign Off

Due to technical problems this past term we have been unable to update our blog. We are all go for next year so check back in in February 2013 to see what is happening in Room 5. Enjoy your Christmas and we will see you back next year.

Olympic Poses

Today we made Olympic Wreaths for craft. Here is Room 5 wearing their wreaths showing their wonderful Olympic poses.

Medalist Visit

We have loved watching the Olympics and seeing our New Zealand competitors doing so well. We have learned about the Olympic mascots, Mandeville and Wenlock and we have watched some of the olympic sports on our Activ-Boards. The whole school went to the library to watch the 100 metre final. We were very lucky to have Ann Muir, our very own Lawn Bowls bronze medalist from the Commonwealth games, come in to show us her medals and talk about what happens at the games.We have also watched some of our local players playing for New Zealand at the Olympics in hockey, soccer, sailing and the triathlon. All of the school watching the 100 metros final.
