Olympic Poses

Today we made Olympic Wreaths for craft. Here is Room 5 wearing their wreaths showing their wonderful Olympic poses.

Medalist Visit

We have loved watching the Olympics and seeing our New Zealand competitors doing so well. We have learned about the Olympic mascots, Mandeville and Wenlock and we have watched some of the olympic sports on our Activ-Boards. The whole school went to the library to watch the 100 metre final. We were very lucky to have Ann Muir, our very own Lawn Bowls bronze medalist from the Commonwealth games, come in to show us her medals and talk about what happens at the games. We have also watched some of our local players playing for New Zealand at the Olympics in hockey, soccer, sailing and the triathlon. All of the school watching the 100 metros final.
